Why Go Paleo?
The Paleo diet, also known as the Caveman diet, Primal diet, Stone Age diet and Hunter Gatherer diet, is a way of eating designed to emulate (as far as possible using modern foods) the diet eaten by humans before the advent of agriculture, during the Palaeolithic era.
The result is a diet most compatible with the way our bodies are innately programmed to process food and will lead to improved health outcomes, increased energy, and a reduction in blood sugars that can cause cardiovascular disease and diabetes. A Paleo way of eating can also help reduce body fat, build lean muscle mass and has been used to improve digestive health and reduce inflammation in the body.
The quality of the food you eat has a direct impact on your health. A Paleo way of eating is about choosing the best quality, nutrient dense foods possible. Foods that are going to provide us with the nutrition our bodies need to function optimally while removing the inflammatory foods which cause us problems and stop us from being our most healthy selves.
